Job Summary

Westat is seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to support our fast-paced Purchasing team.

Job Responsibilities

Duties to be performed include, but are not limited to: coordinating and managing all tasks during the purchasing process; performing purchasing software user administration functions; ensuring compliance with departmental policies; compiling, recording and tracking purchasing data and related records in our purchasing system and ancillary tools; coding invoices; processing requests for non-standard items; and researching and resolving inquiries.

Job Requirements

· A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline
· 5 years of relevant work experience
· Intermediate MS Excel skills

The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service; be extremely detail-oriented; have the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and assignments; and enjoy working in a team environment.

Preferred qualifications: Advanced technology skills; knowledge of federal government contracting purchasing rules and experience in a professional services federal government contractor purchasing department.
