Assistant Director of Admissions for the Middle School (Grades 5 through 8)
Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school with campuses in N.W. Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD, seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions for its Middle School. The Assistant Director is responsible for managing the admissions process for grades 5 through 8, including planning and implementation of information sessions and annual open house events; visiting feeder schools and school fairs to share information about Sidwell Friends with students and families; conducting interviews and writing interview reports; providing campus tours to prospective families; supervising file review, committee meetings, and involvement in admissions decisions for applicants.
An undergraduate degree and at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience are required. An appreciation for the School’s commitment to academic and personal excellence, Quaker values and the prizing of diversity, and environmental stewardship is essential.
