The purpose of this program is to transform the way IT services are provided to the customer by implementing a sustainable, efficient, and modern infrastructure. This team will Implement IaaS including IT infrastructure implementation and Integration, Application and data migration, Enterprise Service Management and Control tools and equipment to include establishment of Service Operations Centre(s), and implementation of client provisioning services including virtual desktops, client installations, and print/scan solutions. The work involves the buildout of three data centers and the modernization of 41 additional sites to establish an efficient, centrally-managed enterprise.

 

This position supports a 5 year Maintenance period following the accceptance each of the 44 sites.  Duties include Vendor management, Management of Tier 4 service request, Spare Parts Management and maintaining accuracy of the contractor Configuration Managment Database.

 

Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, BOM and asset and configuration management, spares support, and maintenance and/or repair activities.

    Provides oversight of the procurement pipeline, including physical transportationSubmits purchase requests (PRs) and receives inventory from material procured within the GDIT approved ILS systemsProvides support for the generation and maintenance of ILS processes, plans, and SOPsManages the quality of asset/configuration records for accuracy and completenessResponsible for maintenance and management of the Bill of Material (BOM) and associated warranty agreements linked to configuration items (CIs)Assists the Configuration Manager in maintaining and reporting on service assets as CIs from system level to Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) levelAssists in the tracking and maintaining reports of licensing, warranty renewals, version control of HW/SW assets and associated documentationWorks with the engineering team to compile all technical documentation, manuals, as-built drawings, etc. and consolidate into the Service Knowledge Management Database (SKMDB); maintains and updates these files, as requiredPrepares and executes inventory documents and deliverables, as required under the contractServes as a liaison with all vendors and HW/SW equipment providers to ensure packing, handling, storage, and transportation of items is executed on-time and in accordance with contractual requirementsTracks the acceptance of all material and ensures the proper documentation is prepared, per shipmentAnalyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirementsMaintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned including but not limited to BMC Remedy and AtriumParticipates in special projects as required and performs other duties, as assignedITIL certification is preferredRAMT/FMECA experience is preferredExperience working on IT modernization programs or IT engineering support programs is required
Education Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of related experience in logistics, training, traffic and/or supply chain management. Travel may be required up to 20%.

 

Secret Security Clearance required for employment.

 

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of property accountability procedures

Familiarizatoin with BMC's Atrium CMDB

Ability to perform property accountability for geographically dispersed sites
