Job Description:

 

The Sponsor is in need of a Systems Engineer who will work to update monitoring software to ensure systems are operating properly.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

1. Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience with Linux (RHEL, CENTOS, etc.)2. Minimum of 1 year of scripting experience (such as Bash).

 

 

Desired Skills:

 

1. Minimum of 2 years experience with configuration management (such as software version control, Change Advisory Boards, etc.)2. Demonstrated System monitoring experience (memory, processes) via Linux command line (using commands such as top and PS).3. Demonstrated experience with SQL.4. Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification and/or Linux Training.5. Demonstrated experience exhibiting troubleshooting skills.6. Demonstrated experience with computer-to-computer communications.7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited schoolor (U) Associates degree in Computer Science (or related field).8. Demonstrated PXE/provisioning experience.9. Demonstrated experience with Network Protocol analysis.10. Demonstrated experience with Server/RAID familiarization.11. Demonstrated experience with VMWare familiarization.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 3+ years of related systems engineering experience.
