Mission Statement: Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews and administers the infrastructure hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the computer network defense (CND) service provider network resources. Monitors network to actively remediate unauthorized activities. 

1. Basic experience administering and Automating Linux Systems

2. Scripting experience in Powershell/BASH

3. Programming and Automation experience utilizing Ruby/Python/Perl
4. Network Access Control (NAC) experience: ForeScout CounterACT, Cisco ICE
5. Firewall experience: Cisco ASA, Cisco IOS FW, Palo Alto
6. Network TAP/SPAN aggregators: Cisco Nexus with Data Broker, Gigamon, Ixia
7. Virtualization experience: VMware ESX and NSX, KVM, Xen Server
HBSS Operations, In-depth experience with configuring and analyzing results from but not limited to HIPS, DLP and VSE ACAS Operations (Security Center, Nessus Scanner and PVS), SPLUNK operations, Fidelis - In-depth operational work with network IDS and incident response including but not limited to Fidelis

8. Tuning cyber defense tools
9. Integration of Splunk
10. Security architecture design
11. Implement new cyber capabilities
12. Implement regional based IPS
13. Design and define system architectures for new or existing cybersecurity systems.
14. Plans upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
15. Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
16. Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
17. Identifies; analyzes; and resolves system problems.
18. Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
19. Determines system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
20. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
21. May serve as a technical team or task lead.
22. Serves as liaison with clients; participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met
23. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

24. Participates in special projects as required

25. Must be able to achieve Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire for positions requiring elevated privileges and ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire

26. Additional specific certifications may be required

27. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide

28. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of related experience in data security administration.

 1. Comprehensive knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques2. Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.3. Requires familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures4. Requires understanding of firewall theory and configuration5. Requires understanding of DHS/DoD policies and procedures, including FIPS 199, FIPS 200, NIST 800-53, DHS 4300A SSH and other applicable policies
