The EMMES Corporation, organized in 1977, is a privately owned Contract Research Organization (CRO). Emmes is dedicated to providing statistical and epidemiological expertise, computer systems development, data management, study monitoring, regulatory guidance, and overall operational support to clients engaged in clinical and biomedical research. Emmes is seeking a Product Manager.

Overview

The Product Manager develops short and long-range plans for development of software products in accordance with market needs. Responsible for assisting Emmes research unit and/or project leaders with business development activities as these relate to the software product. Responsible for implementing strategic goals set by the Director of Software Development as these relate to product requirements development, development planning, and feature prioritization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Defines requirements for software product based on market research and stakeholder feedback
  • Prioritizes requirements based on business value, return on investment, and department strategic goals
  • Develops acceptance criteria for product requirements Plan product releases based on team velocity and business needs Lead product demos to internal and external stakeholders Participate in regular meetings such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Provide clarification on requirements and acceptance criteria to development team Evangelize product within and outside Emmes Perform and/or coordinate secondary tasks such as communications, advertising, and development of training materials and/or user guides

Requirements

    Bachelors degree in public health, science, or computer related field and 5+ years experience working in a software product development team Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience conducting software demos and marketing presentations Working knowledge of browser debugging tools Experience working in a Scrum team and CSPO or CSM certification is preferred Experience working in a clinical research or health care domain is preferred
