PenFed is hiring a Procurement Analyst in our McLean, VA location. The Procurement Analyst position will procure a variety of goods and services for PenFed. These goods and services will range from IT hardware and software to facilities goods and services to human resources benefits. The Procurement Analyst will be the interface point between the business units and the Vendors. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for negotiating with the vendors to ensure PenFed is procuring the goods and services at fair and reasonable prices.Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develops Request for Proposals (RFPs) including requirements, evaluation criteria, price analysis
- Presents sourcing opportunities to the business unit with their strategic planning initiatives
- Evaluates Proposals and makes recommendations to the business unit based on cost-benefit analysis of findings
- Able to develop internal Procurement processes and procedures
- Provides strong customer services to PenFed business units
- Awards Contracts and Purchase Orders
- These can be multiple year deals
- Authorized to process transactions up to $250k
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or related military service experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
Minimum of two years of related business experience
Expert knowledge of MS Office Products
Knowledge of ERP or other Procurement Systems
Strong analytical and statistical skills required
This position will not supervise employees.
There are no additional certifications required.
