The Department of Compact Operations (DCO) is responsible for developing and implementing MCC's compact programs. The department ensures that MCC compacts are designed and implemented in compliance with agency standards for procurement, financial management, environmental and social performance, and gender integration.
Within DCO, the Sector Operations Division is responsible for the development and oversight of MCC's agriculture, land, and human and community development investments, program procurement and program financial services oversight of compact programs, gender and social inclusion, and strategic partnership support to the Department of Compact Operations.
Although the position is advertised equivalent to SES/SL in pay, MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band MC-2D which is generally equal to SES/SL pay only.

To qualify for pay band 2d you must meet the following:
Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 3a (GS-15) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this must include activities such as: experience with the technical assessment of and public policy issues related to Practice Unit (Agriculture and Land) areas sufficient to supervise and coordinate analysis of agriculture and land sectors, relevant program operations; ability to evaluate these programs' effectiveness in meeting Corporate goals and objectives; experience identifying and developing new policy initiatives; experience preparing comprehensive reviews, briefings, studies, and special reports; experience directing multi-disciplinary teams; and experience that involved knowledge of both policy and operational aspects of a variety of U.S. and global development assistance models.
