Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Finance

U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security

CBP, the Nation’s largest Federal law enforcement agency, safeguards America’s borders and ports of entry while enabling legitimate trade and travel. The Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) for the Office of Finance supports the Assistant Commissioner for Finance in managing all budgetary and finance-related matters for an agency that collects tens of billions of dollars annually for the Federal Government.

Major duties include: leading effective financial management control over CBP resources; establishing/maintaining controls to detect, deter, and prevent waste, fraud and abuse; providing strategic direction for operations improvements and systems modernization; overseeing the development and submission of appropriations justifications and estimates; participating in executive governance boards, councils, and trade groups; and developing/maintaining partnerships within the agency as well as Congress, other government agencies, and professional groups.

Annual salary range is $124,406 - $187,000 per annum.
