This position demands extensive experience and proven leadership in application management providing high system availability. As a manager of highly technical professionals providing system availability and support, this role is expected to provide leadership and guidance to the team to proactively identify potential issues based on the past track record and come up with mitigation plans.  Working with team to improve return to service is essential during business interruptions. Following such interruptions, the manager will lead the team to do complete root cause analysis and come up with preventive measures. Manager is expected to plan, track, execute and manage - deliverables related to small modifications or requests from business along with any audit, compliance and other requests. This position is expected to have in depth technical knowledge in Hogan, Mainframes, Unify, ETL and Java .net based applications.

The Manager will be challenged to look for improvement opportunities and realize those opportunities thru innovative approaches. The manager is expected to continuously demonstrate leadership qualities by developing self and team.  This position is expected to bring industry best practices and demonstrate technical skill to guide staff in application management. Experience in process improvement engagements and robotic automation is a plus.

    Serve as IT Management representative supporting the IT Application Management Team to ensure that all delivery channels and applications required for Business Operations meet the defined SLA’s and communicate with business leaders Work closely with business, audit and compliance units in managing the work requests, prioritize and implement in a timely manner Work closely with Development partners to understand the new initiatives being rolled out, work out transition plan for application management, defines SLAs, define and deliberate acceptance criteria, negotiate warranty based on quality rather than duration   Provide proactive management of IT staff through continuous, open communication supported by effective application of personnel actions and reviews though appropriate goal setting Support division and corporate risk management objectives through proper documentation and review of project plans and change plans and the supervision of the introduction of changes in a controlled manner per established corporate and IT policies and procedures. Establish a strong relationship with third-party entities to ensure a proactive understanding of relevant technical capabilities that can be leveraged to improve current state to a desired future state. Is self-challenged and self-motivated by setting and committing to aggressive project deadlines. Maintain strong professional relationships outside of the organization and keep current with new technologies by following other financial organizations, user groups and relevant webinars

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Depending upon the area of focus, not all of the requirements may directly apply.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required. Minimum ten (10) years’ of experience in leading technical teams doing application management and production support is required. IBM mainframe and Hogan Banking applications environment experience preferred. Good experience in Project, Release and Change Management ITIL Foundation Certification and PMP preferred. Six-Sigma or any other process improvement experience is preferred. Any experience with Robotic Process Automation is a huge advantage
 

Supervisory Responsibility

    This position will supervise employees depending on the area of focus.
Licenses and Certifications

    ITIL, PMP, Six Sigma certifications preferred.
 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
