Director of Substance Use Disorder Services

This class directs the design, implementation, documentation and evaluation of Substance Use Disorder Services across the agency.  Directs case management, residential, outpatient, medication assistance and drug court treatment programs as well as peer services to clients with substance use disorders who may also be dual diagnosed with mental health.  Directs the provision of assessment and referral services to clients.  Is responsible for the development and implementation of the division's programs and services.  Provides clinical and administrative leadership to ensure that all substance abuse services programs are in accordance with applicable regulatory, licensure, accreditation and Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) standards.

Develops, manages and monitors program budgets, completes necessary administrative supports, and develops, monitors and assesses productivity and outcomes data. Develops and implements marketing and customer relations strategies to promote high utilization of clinical programs and promotes new business opportunities. Designs, implements and monitors assessment and strategies to ensure responsiveness to stakeholders.  Ensures that division activities are consistent with the Board's strategic plan and effectively integrated with all Agency divisions and contract providers. Researches, plans, implements, supervises monitors and evaluates multiple clinical programs and prevention services. Ensures that assigned treatment and prevention programs are responsive, efficient and congruent with the CSB’s clinical and fiscal goals and objectives. Provides clinical direction and consultation to assigned program managers and clinical supervisors and staff. 

Virginia license as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive and successful experience working in behavioral health and managing multiple clinical programs.
