Academic Program Analyst
The George Mason University Office of the Provost seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Program Analyst to serve in the Office of Accreditation and Program Integrity. Responsibilities: The Academic Program Analyst will support the newly created Office of Accreditation and Program Integrity in its work to ensure and advance the quality of George Mason Universityâ€™s academic programs. This position will help ensure the universityâ€™s fulfillment of its accreditation requirements with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schoolsâ€™ Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) by conducting research and audits to verify alignment with the principles of accreditation; and support the universityâ€™s academic program actions with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) by conducting research, drafting, and assembling proposals. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining institutional records of all formal interactions with these bodies. To accomplish these tasks, the individual will work with faculty and staff across the university, both individually and through councils and committees, and will be integral in developing new processes and tools to streamline academic program work.
Required Qualifications: * Bachelorâ€™s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Exceptional organizational skills; and * Must be a mature and responsible self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision and also collaborate effectively with others.
Preferred Qualifications: * Masterâ€™s degree and familiarity with higher education; and * Familiarity with higher education academic affairs or accreditation.
