Manager, Revenue

                                   

The primary responsibility will be the timely and proper recognition of revenue and preparing and analyzing corporate accounting data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and conformance with policies and acceptable accounting standards. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review contracts and other forms of persuasive evidence to determine proper revenue recognition method and timing of invoicing
  • Coordinate with divisional contacts to complete understanding of revenue and associated costs, comparing and reviewing variances versus budgets
  • Initiate and maintain job/contract setup in SAP, and track using internal revenue schedules
  • Establish and maintain line of communication with A/P, A/R, and Shared Services staff about fee splits, recurring/scheduled billing, and persuasive evidence supporting revenue recognition
  • Perform timely review of revenue, cost of sales, and relevant balance sheet balances to ensure completeness and accuracy for each monthly period close
  • Assist supervisor with monthly close process by preparing recurring and ad hoc journal entries to adjust monthly revenue and cost of sales balances for month end
  • Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations on select general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly divisional revenue reports for distribution to division heads
  • Other reasonably related duties and unscheduled projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in the Accounting field
  • General knowledge and skills in financial and managerial accounting
  • Proven track record of analyzing data, reports, and processes and independently developing opinions
  • Ability to identify and efficiently resolve issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative, motivation, and ability to achieve desired results
  • Extremely detail-oriented, thorough, and organized
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with robust accounting software(s) required
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required
