The George Mason University Student Centers (SC) is seeking a qualified and skilled Administrative Specialist to assist with data entry of daily fiscal transactions, front office management, filing, research, and special projects as assigned. Responsibilities: The incumbentâ€™s primary duties are as follows: * Responsible for the front office cash register system, and daily fiscal reporting and processing (cash and credit card processing); * Provide administrative support to the SC central office in scheduling, answering phones, data entry, filing, copying, faxing, etc.; * Provide exemplary customer service to students, staff and patrons of SC; and directing requests to the appropriate SC or university department; * Track and record all customer service issues and complaints that are filtered through the SC central office; * Assist in processing SC service requests (i.e., locker rentals, easels, kiosks and banner reservations); * Human resources and possible student staff supervision responsibilities; * Schedule and coordinate agenda for the quarterly SC tenant meetings; and * Schedule and coordinate agenda for the quarterly SC staff meeting.
Required Qualifications: * General office experience; * Experience with Microsoft Office or similar applications; and * Cash handling.
Preferred Qualifications: * Customer service experience.
