DCS has an exciting opportunity to support a Army Program office as a Security Control Assessor. The position is on-site at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.

The Assessor will:

Perform oversight of a contractor's IS processing and assessing classified information in IA systems such as eMASS.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed within or inherited by an IS to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.

The candidate must have the ability to assess effectiveness of POA&Ms for IS systems and their impact at mitigating or eliminating risk.

Provide assessments of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies discovered in the IS and its environment of operation and recommends corrective actions. i.e. Assess Security Controls via application of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) scan and other IS system
scans relevant to SW and HW.

Provide authorization decision recommendations to the Authorizing Official (AO) or his/her designee (DAO)
Requirements Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and a Secret government security clearance are required.

Associates degree with 10 years of related experience or Bachelors with 8 years of related experience.

DoD Approved 8570 Baseline certifications: IAM Level II and IAT Level II.

Experience/knowledge of the process for testing Federal information systems and infrastructure security controls using manual and automated tests to ensure all controls are tested properly.
