TELEVISION PRODUCTION/DIGITAL MOVIEMAKING TEACHER
Holds or is eligible for a Vocational Education Certificate (VEC) in Television Production/Digital Moviemaking or holds an Associate's Degree or above in the field. Has experience working in the Television/Broadcast/Digital Moviemaking field. Possesses leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with adolescents, parents, program related businesses, and community groups. Possesses good organization, human relations, and communication skills. Has a working knowledge of avid editing equipment, various types of professional video cameras and television cameras, interviewing techniques and script writing, and various aspects of lighting and set design. Has knowledge of basic and advanced television production techniques and procedures.JOB DESCRIPTION:
Teaches, supervises, and evaluates students in the Monroe Technology Center Television Production/Digital Moviemaking course. Meets and instructs assigned classes and prepares lesson plans. Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Maintains complete and accurate records as required by law. Coordinates with other members of the staff in selection of instructional materials and planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Coordinates shared responsibility for co-curricular activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.RESPONSIBILITIES:
