Systems Administrator - TS/SCI Required
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for the configuration, provisioning, installation, and maintenance of Windows, Linux, VMWare server systems and related infrastructure. The SA ensures the uptime, performance, resources, and security posture of the server systems they manage. The System Administrator's regular duties include installation and upgrade of server systems and software. They will provide also maintain and update security policies. They SA provides expertise in troubleshooting all issues related to the server infrastructure. The SA will regularly improve the security posture of enterprise systems and network infrastructure through the use of STIGs and security guidelines. They will assist in the documentation of all aspects of the enterprise systems and infrastructure as well as processes related to operation and maintenance of the server infrastructure. They will support peer Systems Administrators on other projects and tasks while balancing regular duties. They will implement and support new applications and technologies entering the infrastructure. The SA must possess a working knowledge for managing and supporting servers, systems, and software, preferably Microsoft. Experience in VMWare, Linux, Solarwinds, Vertitas NetBackUp, 3Par or Dell Storage a plus. They must be organized, self-motivated and able to work with general/limited supervision. The SA should possess good interpersonal skills and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. They should be able to work with other members of the system support team and other teams within the organization. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 2-5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
