Research Support personnel are responsible for the processing and status documenting of security background investigation requests from military, civilian and industrial sources. Research Support tasks

shall include:

 

 

    Interface between Government agencies and industrial partners for obtaining; processing; verifying; and disseminating personnel security information and access to customer programs; for review and approval by the USGProvide accurate and timely operational and administrative support to Case Analysts and AdjudicatorsReview individual personal history statements and other documents for completeness, for review and approval by the USGMaintain accurate personnel data in all filesUpdate the customer clearance databaseMaintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel securityLearn various security databases in order to perform research support tasks
 

GDIT duties may include:

1. Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks in one or more business support functions within the organization, including contracts, facilities planning, finance, logistics, property management, purchasing and/or security.

 2. May perform tasks relative to the control of company and/or government property assigned to the organization.

 3. May perform facilities planning activities, including coordinating the storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment.

 4. May act as facility security officer to ensure compliance with company, customer and government security regulations and procedures.

 5. May maintain financial databases, analyze data, and develop reports.

 6. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of related administrative and analytical experience.

 Requires Polygraph.

 

    Prior experience in the Personnel Security discipline (investigations, adjudications or polygraph); b. Demonstrated expert level in preparing reports/delivering status on taskings/preparing metrics; c. Demonstrated expert level skill in resolving discrepancies; d. Demonstrated expert level in prioritizing work for teams; e. Experience in accommodating change, providing support to branch management, performing analytical work, troubleshooting problems, issue resolution, and is customer service orientedExperience in processing personnel records as they relate to background investigations g. Working knowledge of ICD 704 and E.O. 12968 guidelines h. Database data entry skills i. Ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized mannerAbility to learn various databases during performance of the contract k. Prioritize competing tasks and possess effective time management skillsDemonstrated experience with current version of Microsoft Office Suite m. Demonstrated customer service skills n. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
