Bachelor’s degree in computer related field along with experience supporting enterprise hardware, software, and technology solutions; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the following knowledge, abilities and skills:



  • Ten or more years of related technical and managerial experience in a service delivery environment supporting a varied customer base

  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, group policies, preferences, infrastructure hardware and support tools; experience with Windows Server, Windows 7 and Windows 10, iOS, Mac and Chrome operating systems

  • Excellent organizational skills and the self-motivated with ability to work independently

  • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • MCSE, ITIL, Net +, or Project Management Professional certification a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

The Technology Systems Coordinator is responsible for managing the LCPS enterprise systems and infrastructure team, which provides server, storage, and systems engineering support to internal and external customers. The position is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate service levels are met along with customer expectations. The Technology Systems Coordinator, as the team lead, is responsible for team project management, team task management, internal and external communication, as well as assisting with resolution of critical technical issues. The position develops process and procedure for the team along with training other support staff to ensure effective and efficient customer service for end users. This position processes emergency requests, sets staff priorities and workloads, handles escalations, addresses high impact issues and assess staff performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Oversees the systems team in their daily tasks related to key infrastructure including servers, storage, Active Directory, cloud services, backup solutions, e-mail solutions, archiving, and other enterprise systems. 

  • Recommend, test, deploy, monitor, and upgrade infrastructure hardware and systems

  • Oversees incidents handled by the systems team and acts as escalation point for all requests and incidents; provides data and reporting to management team and others in ad-hoc, weekly, monthly reports and as needed; advises management on situations that may require additional client support or escalation

  • Develop and mature escalation processes for the team to ensure free flowing escalation and information within the organization; Determine root cause of issues and communicate appropriately to customers

  • Oversee daily staff activities, manage employee schedules and provide backup support and develop and/or obtain training material for support staff; manage, train, coach and mentor Systems Engineers, Systems Specialists and other support staff to perform tasks successfully and for career development

  • Oversee solutions repository and ensure quality solutions are available to staff and customers along with developing and maintaining appropriate support documentation

  • Manage vendor relationships to meet daily and peak requirements; remain current with emerging technologies and suggest adoption or implementation when appropriate

  • Supports other technology projects as assigned
