TITLE:                                    IN-UNIT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN        

STARTING SALARY:          $17.00 PER HOUR

 

HOURS OF DUTY:                Full-time

SCOPE OF WORK:               Luxury High-Rise condominium seeks in-unit maintenance technician to run the condominiums in-unit maintenance program.  Knowledge is required in the areas of general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.  Will be on call every third week for emergencies.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete In-Unit service requests for owners and residents in accordance with the Condominiums In-Unit Service Program.
  • Maintain the appropriate inventory and replace supplies as necessary.
  • Snake unit drains and occasionally common area drains
  • Clean, repair as needed and requested, In-Unit HVAC systems.
  • Assist with Snow removal
  • Assist in responding to residents’ complaints or concerns
  • Maintain orderly and clean environment in all maintenance storage areas 
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Respond to emergencies, after hours

 

 

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of general building policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA codes as they pertain to the building
  • Work professionally and courteously with owners and residents
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergencies
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolong, extensive and/or considerable standing/walking
  • Usage of ladders and stairs
  • Push/Pull or move/lift equipment, supplies, parts, manual dexterity and mobility
  • Considerable reaching, stoop, bending, and kneeling
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools and ladders)

                   

 

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or equivalent 
  • Vocation training as it relates to position
