Healthcare Research and Program Evaluation Manager

Key Role:

Lead, plan, and manage programs to meet product delivery, quality, and cost goals on evaluation consulting engagements, including innovative healthcare delivery and payment models, quality improvement, patient and family engagement, cost and value-based purchasing models, clinical practice transformation, and the hospital engagement network funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Act as a team leader to market and capture evaluation opportunities, review user and technical requirements, identify tasks, assign and coordinate resources, create and track project schedules, ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution, and contribute to complex aspects of the design and execution of evaluation projects. Assist the junior manager with evaluation projects and account status and develop evaluation consulting expertise to deliver high-quality work products in support of client needs and projects. Guide the activities of others on a set of defined evaluation tasks and market to new and existing clients. Prioritize deliverables, work independently with little guidance, and lead and participate in offering solutions and new ideas. Identify opportunities to grow existing business or support firm-wide initiatives. Contribute to the development of research and evaluation capacities inside the firm with a focus on healthcare program evaluation and research.


Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with leading, directing, and managing evaluation projects

-10 years of experience with healthcare program evaluation

-Knowledge of contractual and financial responsibilities for government projects

-Knowledge of CMS CMMI, CMS CCSQ, and equivalent HHS agencies

-PhD degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, including the analysis of Medicare Part A and Part B claims data

-PhD degree in a Quantitative Social Science field
