Assistant Teacher, Child Development Center

The George Mason University Child Development Center invites applications for an entry-level Assistant Teacher position. Responsibilities: The Assistant Teacher assists the classroom Teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program, and assumes responsibility for the children in the group in the absence of the Teacher.

Required Qualifications: * High school degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; * Demonstrated experience working with children of preschool age; * CPR, First Aid and Medical Administration training are required, but may be completed after employment; and * Fingerprinting and a sex offender background check will also be conducted.

Preferred Qualification: * Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE).
