The MIL Corporation seeks a Sr. Budget Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Washington, DC 20005 location. The Sr. Budget Analyst will lead the Jr. Financial Analyst(s) through completion of requested deliverables.

• Lead the Jr. Budget Analyst(s) through completion of requested deliverables, and control daily activities by constantly measuring, evaluating and correcting daily, routine and emerging activities
• Perform budget formulation procedures/processes involving independent assessments and preparation of detailed analyses, budget estimates, special reports, and other documentation
• Perform budget execution oversight involving multi-year direct and reimbursable accounts involving the administration and review of requests for allotments of budget authority for distribution to regional activities nationwide
• Provide financial advisory services to an extensive and diverse customer base
• Provide status reports on all deliverables to senior leadership, as requested
• Use automated budgetary system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments

Required Qualifications
• 6 to 10 years of budget/financial management experience
• 5 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead position
• Very good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data
• Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations and directives
• Ability to work effectively with a group or independently
• Possess advanced organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively manage several projects at one time
• Experience and expertise in analyzing and identifying improvements needed to ad hoc and standard budget and financial management processes
• Very good knowledge of FFMS, Discoverer, Purchase Request Information System (PRISM), Fed Traveler, or similar systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Desired Qualifications
• Completed DHS Suitability investigation
• Knowledge of the DHS Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process and its products, terminology and guidance documents; including DHS budget and financial management regulations, OMB circulars and Congressional Legislation
