Vice President of Clinical Ancillary Services
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of multiple clinical departments in the medical center to maintain standards of patient care, and advises Chief Executive Officer in matters related to clinical operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
A member of the hospital’s executive leadership team, the Vice President, Clinical Operations (VPCO) is directly responsible for the following departments and service lines: Outpatient Clinics, Rehabilitation Services (Physical, Occupational, Speech); Laboratory; Radiology; Surgical Services; Case Management; and Population & Community health initiatives. The VPCO is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units and service lines. The VPCO also conducts other analyses and duties as requested.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.
