Job Summary The Messaging Solution team is looking for Lead Developer/System Engineer(s) to lead the development overall effort on its product portfolio. As a lead Developer/System Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team environment where your professional skills in C++ will be crucial to the delivery of mission critical financial software to the global financial industry following structured development approaches such a waterfall or agile methodologies. Given the mission critical nature of our business, strong emphasis is placed on security, availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, and system resources consumption.Responsibilities:Prepare, plan, co-ordinate, lead and be responsible for the development, testing and installations of medium size/complexity/risk systems and/or projects across functional and geographical lines and review progress regularly with customers and own management.Meet with the customer to identify needs and requirements and manage solution development ensuring effectiveness in meeting customersA cents € (TM) needs.Analyze input/output requirements, information flow, technical requirements, resources needed and select between alternative systems solutions in order to make a proposal to the customer. Create complex prototypes.Validate technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions.Provide functional support and leadership to staff and customers, lead and direct teams and/or medium size/complexity/risk projects and assist and give guidance in resolving problems.Ensure production of complete systems documentation and operating procedures. Give presentations to management and customersOrganize, coordinate and deliver the output of one or several teams of specialists. May be consulted on people- and departmental management issues.Lead design review meetings.Qualifications:10+ yearsA cents € (TM) experience in systems development; with 2 years exposure to the team leader roleBachelorA cents € (TM) s degree in computer science or related field.The candidate should have had relevant exposure to the development of highly scalable, resilient and secure software.Should have experience in the following technologies.OO programming, Design Patterns, Strong C++ skills and good java programming experienceWeb technologies: JavaScript, AJAX, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, RESTFul Web Services (Jersey), Tomcat webserver.XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath.Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC, JPASoftware development environments and integration tools: Eclipse, Jenkins, SonarQubeExperience using source code repository (ClearCase, GIT, SVN, etc.)Experience in an Agile/Scrum software development environmentExperience developing on Unix and/or Linux OS, as well as Windows SWIFT is an Equal Opportunity Employer What we offer:SWIFT Manassas is one of two offices in the Virginia area, located a short drive from Washington DC.
