He/She reports directly to the Assistant Parts manager.Job RequirementsBe able to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.Must possess a proficient working knowledge of computers.Will exhibit a professional appearance at all times.Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.Must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day.Must be capable of lifting and transporting automotive parts weighing 70 pounds or less several times a day.May be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other hazardous and non-hazardous material.DutiesA. Primary DutiesSell parts to service technicians, wholesale and retail customers in a professional and efficient manner.Answer phone calls from customer providing price quotes and other information.Promote additional sales by suggesting related items or specials.Specify parts correctly using the electronic parts catalog, Netstar resources, technical bulletins, etc.Help maintain an inventory of fast moving items in your work area.Insure that parts are billed on the proper repair order and on the correct line.Notify customer that ordered parts have been received.Report any inventory discrepancies to the Assistant Parts Manager or the Parts Manager.B. Secondary DutiesParticipate in Mercedes Benz Standards of Excellence training program and maintain a minimum level of Certified.Assist with perpetual inventory.Maintain a neat orderly work area.C. MiscellaneousPerform all duties in accordance with written company policies and procedures.Assist with annual inventory.Fill in at the Wholesale office, Body Shop, Service or Retail Counter when needed.Perform any other duties as directed by management.
