We are the United Problem Solvers.About this role: This programming position is on the NRF/Foss Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be participating in technical automation coding and test execution as well as functional requirements and application development design meetings, analyzing functional requirements, writing well-written, maintainable, test cases that map to functional requirements, and doing manual test execution activities. This is a very strategic role on one of UPS's most critical application. The successful candidate will have visibility within the QA team and may interact with development and user teams. Additionally, the role involves maintaining, implementing and assisting with establishing the test methods and procedures necessary for verification.The successful candidate will update UIS and ECS test cases and tools. Computer programming (C++ or C#)is required. Defect entry/management/analysis will be done via Quality Center, Serena Business Manager, and MS Office 2013. Knowledge of the software development process and experience on a QA or Testing team is preferred. Also, working experience with Windows and Linux.The Co-Op will enhance their technical skills by learning system development life cycle methodology and testing. Ability to learn how to analyze business requirements and detailed designs in order to create test scripts, run automated test scripts, log and track defects. Understanding/usage of technology (Hardware, Software, Internet, and Mobile) and creative problem solving is a must.Must be able to work 15 - 20 hours per week while school is in session.
