Surface Warfare Enterprise, Current readiness Cross Pillar Team Senior Manager. This position is in Norfolk VA located at the COMNAVSURFLANT (CNSL) headquarters. Contractor support for performing, analyzing and providing recommendations for Navy Surface ship class to include elements of manning training and equipping and sustainment. CNSL responsibility to adequately man, train and equip naval forces includes an ever increasing number of complex ship issues. -Review CNO and OPNAV strategic guidance, maritime strategy, or other fleet and Joint Issues. Develop and verify associated complimentary surface ship doctrine, plans and strategies. -Combat System attributes at the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) level to include, Aegis, SSDS and aircraft configurations.-Review training shortfalls identified by the Afloat Training group for various ship classes, identify trends.-Extract data related to surface force readiness. -Develop and analyze elements of the USFF readiness Kill Chain (RKC) as it relates to surface ship classes. -Provide briefs and Point Papers and other written documents for the Commander as required to support and defend guidance, structure and manning principles that rationalize the manning, training, equipping and qualification of surface ships. -Conduct DOTMLP-F wholeness studies. Wholeness studies will include; adequacy of current logistical support, maintenance planning, adequacy of current training and certification methods. -Provide changes to doctrine, education and training requirements to enhance operations and support of Commander's decision cycle and battle rhythm. -Analyze OPNAV budget planning documents to determine impacts to surface ship capabilities and operational effectiveness.-Prepare briefings and attend weekly drumbeat of meetings developing appropriate after action tasks. -Review and analyze proposed changes to surface ship doctrine and Navy-wide manning. -Assess and provide fleet input to surface ship Modernization planning, including fleet requirements for future capability builds and fleet impacts. -Evaluate technical and acquisition community modernization proposals against DOTMLP-F criteria to ensure fleet introduction is executed with proper mission wholeness. -Review and analyze post-deployment briefs, operational assessments, Combat Systems Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT) and other performance reports to recommend material, doctrine and TTP improvements Education 1. Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline. 2. Master's Degree preferred.
