Performs complex Billing functions in support of a diverse customer base ensuring the timely creation and issuing of accurate invoices. 1. Prepares, analyzes, reviews, verifies, and reconciles complex contract billing terms, accounting classifications, and various other accounting/financial records, and reports. 2. Establishes and maintains accurate, auditable detailed billing records, such as a booked to billed analysis per invoice billed and tracking multiple ACRN/CLIN allocations. 3. Analyzes financial reports and records, and makes recommendations relative to the sections of the contract that governs billing, such as funding, applicable fees, withholds and indirect billing ceilings. 4. Participates in the development and testing of accounting systems, methods, procedures, and controls. 5. Coordinates and provides expert guidance regarding project billing with other departments, locations, and business units to resolve billing/collection issues. 6. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced Accounting staff. 7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant accounting regulations, policies, and procedures. 8. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of related accounting experience. Possess at least 5 years of government billing experience as well as proficiency with Oracle accounting systems and MS Excel software. Costpoint accounting systems also considered. Strong customer service, written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision in a fast paced environment. Demonstrate team work, ability to share and work with the team to meet established goals.
