The Authority is seeking a highly motivated SCADA Analyst.Ensures robustness and integrity of the SCADA System including directing and coordinating employees in support of calibration services and data management. Responsible for managing upgrades, yearly maintenance contracts and long term planning of SCADA and instrumentation system for Customer Care & Operations, Distribution & Conveyance Systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:A cents € cents Maintains and updates the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to ensure uninterrupted operation.A cents € cents Designs, develops, documents, coordinates and implements changes to the SCADA system to support operational changes and engineering projects. A cents € cents Focused on Wonderware System Platform, and Historian support and development.A cents € cents Maintains standards for SCADA system and ensure application to Capital Upgrade projects.A cents € cents Responsible to maintain System change management process staying within IT audit practices. A cents € cents Responsible for building the SCADA data bases to acquire data from remote PLC sites and work with Control Center personnel to design and implement graphic displays to support pipeline operation.A cents € cents Create scripts, reports and troubleshooting skills using VB.Net and SQL queries. A cents € cents Must work closely with Operations and maintenance personnel on a daily basis and respond to their urgent systems needs.A cents € cents Investigates, evaluates and recommends hardware, software, or service required to repair, replace, enhance, update or improve the SCADA environment.A cents € cents Works with communication vendors and internal support personnel to quickly resolve data communication problems during outages.A cents € cents Updates software and software configurations as needed to maintain system integrity. A cents € cents Coordinates with vendors for product support.A cents € cents Responsible for writing documentation (examples: control narratives, SOPA cents € (TM) s, policies) as needed to support job functions.A cents € cents Identifies issues related to coordination with other utilities and municipal service providers.A cents € cents Operates Authority vehicles as an essential function of the position. Maintains vehicles and/or equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Reports any operating deficiencies to the appropriate Authority personnel.A cents € cents Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents BachelorA cents € (TM) s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of progressive experience to include:o PLC programming with Function Block and Ladder Logic; o Focused experience with Modicon PLC suite;o SCADA and ICS commissioning, design, or operations; ando Experience working with the Windows operating system and system administrationOTHER REQUIREMENTS:A cents € cents Prefer a Certified Automation Professional/ISA. A cents € cents Must possess and maintain current a valid Motor Vehicle Operating Permit and a DC Water Vehicle Endorsement.A cents € cents The individual must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and be willing to learn. Knowledge of file structures, data structures, graphics editors and scientific programming languages is required.A cents € cents The individual must adhere to good programming practices and strict testing standards. A cents € cents Must be able to follow controlled procedures, adhere to database and display standards and change management procedures. A cents € cents The individual must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). A cents € cents Must be able to take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, operations personnel.A cents € cents Work performed on ladders, elevated surfaces and platforms, and in confined spaces. Frequent sitting and standing; Moderate walkingA cents € cents Frequent use of computer and viewing of computer monitor.A cents € cents May work indoors and/or outdoors. Environmental conditions include exposure to extreme cold and/or hot temperatures. May work in areas of noise, vibration, near moving mechanical parts, risk of electric, and a variety of hazards.
