Development Operations Engineer / Systems Administrator Location: Crystal City, VA Job Code: 04-3812 # of Openings: 1 Division Overview: Boeing Intelligence & Analytics ("BI&A") is the PRIME contractor in this fast paced agile development contract supporting a mission-critical capability with a great opportunity to rapidly prototype and deploy advanced web-based capabilities. Development is currently centered around deploying custom applications using cutting edge technologies in an Amazon Web Services-based Microservices framework. This is a powerful, precise, and collaborative architecture enabling a whole of Intelligence solutions for our nationA cents € (TM) s challenges. The program serves as the on-site representative to the Customer and helps the team rapidly iterate the platform in support of mission needs. Clearance Requirements: Clearance: TS/SCI Description THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN TS/SCI CLEARANCE BI&A is seeking a Development Operations Engineer / System Administrator to join their high-caliber team. Are extremely detailed oriented, obsessive about delivering 100% accountability and traceability for systems administration tasks, especially data transfers. This Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer duties include: A' . Create and deploy mission-critical applications in a production cloud environment. These applications are high exposure in support of the Intelligence Community mission. A' . Oversee system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. A' . Design and develop automation of Cloud environment, troubleshoot network/connectivity issues, review with peers to make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance A' . Manage tier 2 help desk support by addressing and resolving client concerns and keeping track of the issues worked using JIRA. A' . Operate and maintain mission critical legacy systems running Linux operating systems on commodity hardware. Assist with the deprecation and repurposing of these systems. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BachelorA cents € (TM) s degree from an accredited four-year university in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 4+ yearsA cents € (TM) experience working on Customer Networks 3+ yearsA cents € (TM) experience as a systems administrator sustaining Intelligence Community enterprise-scale Linux-based applications 1+ yearsA cents € (TM) knowledge of Server/Application/Deployment frameworks Unix/Linux Scripting such as Ruby, Perl, Python, OR Bash Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively work in an agile team 1+ year AWS and Microsoft Azure Experience Experience working with PKI trust stores and certificates. Experience in Atlassian Suite (JIRA and CONFLUENCE) DESIRED EXPERIENCE (however NOT required): A successful previous cloud migration experience. 2+ yearsA cents € (TM) experience with code management, continuous integration, continuous delivery tools and processes. 2+ yearsA cents € (TM) experience providing one-click automation solutions for web application development teams using CI tools like Jenkins, circleCI etc. Experience working with the following technologies Apache Tomcat, Kafka, Eureka , Docker, Zookeeper, NGINX AWS and Amazon Cloud (EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, ELB, IAM CloudFormation, etc) DevOps Tools - SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory Security+ Certification or equivalent RedHat Certified Systems Administrator Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
