Job Description As a member of the Business & Operations Team, the Assistant Director of Operations will coordinate a range of day-to-day operational and business functions, ensuring the school operates highly efficiently in support of Ingenuity Prep's academic mission. The Assistant Director of Operations will be responsible for a wide-range of functions on the team. The position will report to the Director of Operations and will manage a School Operations Associate and the Food Service Associate. An ideal candidate for this position should have a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant, school-based professional experience. Previous experience in school operations is strongly preferred. Previous experience as a teacher is highly valued. He/she should demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills, possess strong organizational and planning skills, and be highly proficient in the use of Google Docs and Microsoft Office - particularly Excel. Experience with Wordpress, Illustrator, and/or student information systems (Powerschool, etc.) is highly valued but not required. Lead operational coordination of school events including planning and execution. Support with family communications, including but not limited to weekly leader logs, lobby powerpoint, lobby door signage, and Loop communication. Manage relationship with uniform vendor Risse Brothers and support Homeless Liaison with beginning of year and emergency orders for homeless families. Coordinate daily tracking of uniform infractions and necessary follow up to parents. Respond to copier/printer jams and change laminate as needed Serve as a member of the School Emergency Response Team (SERT) in the event of an emergency Food Service Complete training for Food Handlers License Manage National School Breakfast and National School Lunch Programs and hold Food Service Associate accountable to the vision of excellence in program implementation. Create and update monthly meals tracker with enrollment and attendance information Implement micro point of service audits and monthly food service program audit School Registrar Functions Support School Ops Associate in managing daily attendance tracking and necessary follow up with families. Hold School Ops Associate accountable to maintaining student records. Student Recruitment, Admissions, & Enrollment Support logistics and execution of student recruitment and enrollment events, including open houses, parent meetings, and back to school nights in partnership with the Student Recruitment and Enrollment Manager. Collaborate with school leadership to achieve student recruitment goals by participating in on- and off-campus recruitment events including campus tours, school fairs, and direct mail initiatives as needed. Schoolwide Events Manage monthly field trip planning and execution, including field trip eligibility, coordination with instructional leadership or teachers, and vendor payment. Create a communication plan for students and families in reference to upcoming school events. Technology Manage Google Admin device dashboard and update regularly Monitor requests for student and classroom technology support Troubleshoot issues on student Chromebooks and other classroom technology including AppleTVs, document cameras, and iPads Execute monthly inventory of devices COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Ingenuity Prep offers among the strongest compensation and benefits packages of any public charter school in Washington, DC Our compensation and benefits package includes: An innovative compensation structure (salary and bonus) for instructional positions based on demonstrated effectiveness and retention.
