You will be responsible for improving operational capability and technology service delivery while working alongside our top-notch professional consultants as well as liaising with internal senior management and working to build a great team around the world. Responsibilities: Accountable for entire VMWare vSphere estate across 4 data centers, on multiple continents. Improve integration of infrastructure technology stack including networking, storage, compute and guest OS layers. Design and implement new technology processes and procedures for optimal team capabilities. Orchestrate and automate new capabilities leveraging vSphere PowerCLI and other tools to facilitate mechanization of the infrastructure operations. Deploy, Document, and Automate the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data infrastructure Function as a player-coach for a global team of talented infrastructure professionals. Investigate, facilitate, and implement improvements for monitoring and system health, as well as troubleshoot existing storage infrastructure and data center hardware deployments Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact Qualifications: Must be a VMWare vSphere Expert - VCP a plus, deep knowledge of the Vmware ecosystem required. Diverse experience with multiple technologies in an enterprise environment. Strong experience with adjacent technologies such as Networking, FC storage, and Microsoft Windows required. Experience with major enterprise hardware platforms, ie UCS, VCE, Dell, HP, IBM, etc in an enterprise environment. Comfortable adapting to dynamic, rapid and shifting environments Experience creating innovative and unique solutions for automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages and simplifying administration for others Demonstrated ability to teach new skills and concepts to junior members of the team Strong communication skills and self-starter attitude with a strong ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking with minimal supervision Strong understanding of Enterprise Best Practices How to Stand Out: Full stack visibility; know what it takes to fix things, from as much of the code, web server, guest OS, host, vCenter, storage, LAN or WAN as possible Demonstrate strong investigation and troubleshooting skills - when issues get to you they will be obscure and/or urgent. Previous experience in large corporate or other highly regulated environments Very large virtual machine experience (12+ cores, 512+GB Ram per VM) Bring passion and enthusiasm and demonstrate a sense of collective ownership for technology solutions Mentor other team members and motivate others Be the smartest person in the room but not have to tell everyone Know when Enterprise Best Practices do not apply
