Job Description We are looking for an Agile Evangelist/Senior Scrum Master to join our Cyber Risk Group in our Crystal City, VA office. This role will be an important contributor as we continue on our journey to build an agile practice and mindset throughout our software development lifecycle. Your role as an agile evangelist/senior scrum master will be focused on: enabling teams to achieve success, delivering value to our customers, and building agile practices and mindset throughout the organization. This will be a highly visible and influential role within the organization and will report directly to the Vice President of our Cyber Risk Group. Responsibilities As Agile Evangelist/Senior Scrum Master, you will: Ensure agile ceremonies occur including: stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, grooming, and sprint & release planning. Support daily scrum activities, protect the team from external distractors and remove impediments to ensure the team is fully functional and productive. Preserve a culture of transparency, iteration and continuous feedback. Facilitate communication and collaboration with Product Owners as well as internal and external development teams to support development & product delivery. Track, analyze and report on the state of Agile within teams to improve team velocity and sprint/release progress. Coach and mentor good practices such as product backlog setup, identifying project interdependencies (internal & external), identify risks & mitigation, establishing a definition of done, story point estimation techniques, etc. Develop scrum master skills in team members and coaching skills in scrum masters for backup & sustainability. Train (classroom/workshop style), mentor and advise technology, business, and management teams on: agile values, principles, methodology, and framework; as well as on good business & quality engineering practices. Lead in planning and implementing the NC4 development and delivery methodology including development framework, delivery methodology, team structure, continuous integration, & continuous deployment capabilities (Dev/OPS). Guide and help define workflows, templates and processes for ALM tools like Jira. If You Have: 5+ years of experience in training, mentoring & coaching dev teams on Agile, Scrum, Kanban & best quality/engineering practices. 5+ years of hands-on experience as a scrum master in a genuine Agile software development organization, leading complex multiple technology programs/projects utilizing Scrum & other Agile methodologies. A demonstrated history of promoting an Agile mindset and best practices in large enterprise organizations to individuals at varying stages of Agile adoption A demonstrated ability to improve delivery results of teams. Demonstrated skills in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins. Actual experience with Jira and Confluence is highly desired. Experience coaching distributed IT teams located in multiple time zones and in a complex environment. Experience in scripting and programming is a strong plus.
