Provide administrative, clerical, payroll, technical, and customer service support within the Human Resources Department for internal and external customers (employees, vendors, contractors, candidates for employment, etc.). Assists with maintaining the HRIS database and all employee records and files. Leads and administers employee onboarding. Provides recommendations for development and administration of HR policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or 2 years of work experience in Human Resources.Administrative experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education with demonstrated HR experience preferred.Must be detail oriented with superior follow-through skills.Strong ability to multi-task, organize workload, manage priorities, and meet critical deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused behaviors.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in written correspondence.Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, Visio) skills and a proven aptitude for technology.HRIS, database, and payroll experience a plus. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Under direct supervision, performs a variety of generalist tasks to support the HR Department and employees within each Division of the organization.Responds to a variety of inquiries regarding employment status, benefits, payroll, etc., and provides information to employees regarding policies, procedures, practices, and entitlements.Creates and maintains data and other records in the operations database and the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) including training data, new hires, etc.Completes credentialing, reference checks, and verifications of employment and payroll information.Maintains confidentiality of personnel information and other sensitive data.Constructs, maintains, and manages employee orientation packages, personnel files, termination notices, and performs other general duties for the department.Prepares service awards for employees on a monthly basis.Ensures that system records are accurately recorded and cross-checked.Completes miscellaneous research, reports, and memos as requested.Assists employees with payroll inquiries. Supports payroll administrator with payroll adjustments and corrections as necessary. Assists with audits and quality controls of physical and electronic files. Coordinates employee engagement events.Maintains professional working relationships with applicants, visitors, callers, and internal/external business professionals.Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls.Receives and tracks employment applications in accordance with policy.Maintains and protects the Company's professional reputation with internal and external stakeholders.Assists with training new employees on use of employee portals for payroll, benefits, and timekeeping. Keeps management appropriately informed of activities and of any significant concerns or conflicts.Contacts managers for content and creates and distributes a quarterly employee newsletter.Creates and distributed bi-weekly personnel updates and updates organizational charts.Stays well informed regarding human resource developments.Responsible for monitoring and reordering supplies for the HR department.Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned.ABOUT JK MOVING SERVICES: Got moxie?
