Pretty simple concept, if you ask us.Review and/or prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on US statutory, US GAAP, International, and/or Bermuda statutory accounting bases. Review and/or prepare the detailed US and International GAAP consolidations, analysis and reporting for the corporate holding company. Review and/or prepare high-level and detailed analysis of financial statements and subcomponents, particularly against plan and forecasts. Review and/or prepare the research and analysis of financial operations and review these findings under the applicable basis of accounting.Review and/or prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and analysis under four possible bases of accounting: United States statutory, United States GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards, and/or Bermuda statutory.Prepare financial statement impact analysis and/or position papers supporting accounting policy with respect to LGA initiatives. Examples include new product lines or initiatives coming out of Product Implementation Committee, accounting for investing in new investment vehicles, analyzing impact of new reinsurance agreements, and new L&G segment reporting. Includes development of key metrics and analytical tools supporting pricing, solvency, profitability, and other management objectives, which, in turn, may include managing technological aspects of implementation (ie general ledger, data warehouse modifications).Review and/or prepare position papers for new or newly relevant United States statutory, United States GAAP, and/or International accounting standards. Assist with the implementation of changes in policies and procedures as a result of findings, as necessary.Review and/or prepare position papers for capital solutions under United States statutory, United States GAAP, and/or International accounting standards. Assist with the implementation of changes in policies and procedures as a result of findings, as necessary.Review and/or prepare the quarterly and annual statutory filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.Review and/or prepare L&G required monthly and/or ad hoc reporting including monthly solvency reports, advanced forecasting, debt reporting, subsidiary valuation reports, and other requested reports, as required by L&G. Review or prepare US, European and Bermuda statutory capital forecasting requirements reports.Complete special tasks and projects as assigned.Review, and/or prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement exhibits and analysis on US statutory and US GAAP consolidated bases of accounting.Mentor and train Financial Analysts with respect to preparation of all aspects of financial reporting assignments for which a Senior Financial Analyst conducts the review.Prepare responses to internal and external audit and actuarial consultant requests on LGA and operating entity financial statements and internal controls.Review and/or prepare employee benefit plan financial statements and associated form 5500 filings. Respond to audit and outside actuarial consultant requests.Review and/or prepare monthly allocation of intercompany corporate expenses/services among entities.Research and prepare draft Finance response to research requests by L&G or LGA management regarding acquisition opportunities. Assist with implementation of changes in policies and procedures as a result of findings, as necessary. Assist in preparing staff training, as needed.
