Avizia proudly serves more than 200 hospitals across the US and internationally.Our Development Team is looking for a talented Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to help build the next generation of telemedicine software products. The Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will focus on our quality efforts as part of our quality team, to ensure the solutions and experiences we deliver are on point with our customers needs and meet our high-quality standards. This person will be a key part of the Development Team and work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to deliver new features and solutions to help us deliver on our mission.Avizia is committed to employee success and offers many benefits such as medical, dental, life, disability, unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), and on site gym. Duties & ResponsibilitiesFluent in modern object oriented programming languagesUse a development centric approach to achieve quality (eg, build tools with code and use scripting wherever possible)Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to understand user needs and to develop and adhere to QA processes and guidelinesInteract directly with customers including running user testing groups to ensure we deeply understand their needs and how they use the solutions and incorporate these findings into our processes and strategiesContinuously improve our QA processes and approach including frequent reviews of new approaches and techniquesEstablish quality metrics and improve our continuous integration pipeline, testing patterns and techniques Knowledge, Skills and Experience5+ years of strong coding and software engineering experience in a modern language, such as JavaScript, Scala, Python3+ years experience as a Lead Quality Engineer with a strong knowledge of test methodologies and software release cyclesQA expertise with SaaS web solutions, distributed services, mobile applications and/or productsProficient in creating and executing test plans based on the understanding of feature goals, software architecture and how our customers use the solutionsStrong experience with automating testing tools, such as Selenium Webdriver and PhantomJSExperience with Sauce LabsExperience creating and maintaining test scriptsAble to work independently and drive results in a fast-pace Agile environmentExperience defining and setting up CI pipelinesClear and effective communication skillsExperience in healthcare preferred Additional InformationThe position is located indoors in an office environment in our Reston, VA office. The incumbent must be able to communicate with other individuals in person, via phone, and through email. The incumbent may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and the job requires the incumbent to use reasoning and judgment to address and solve business problems. The incumbent must demonstrate manual dexterity in order to use common office equipment. Applicant may be required to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis. This position requires travel regionally and nationally less than 20%.
