Responsibilities Looking for a change? This position is full of variety, ranging from simulation development of a force-on force simulation environment, to configuration management of program software. Provides an opportunity to work on extremely challenging projects, that could lead to future growth opportunities. The successful candidate will participate as a member of a team developing R&D simulation applications for use in a sensor simulation environment based on the Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF), Jess rule-based expert system, and the Repast Simphony Agent-Based Modeling environment. The candidate will be responsible for the configuration management of the program software, and system administration of multiple systems supporting the full program. The candidate will develop test scripts using a continuous build environment. The successful candidate will perform all necessary aspects of software development including coding, testing, debugging and documenting using current best practices and standards. The primary development environments will be in Linux using Java, C/C++, and Python or Android using Android studio. The successful candidate will assist with defining specifications for software programming applications and maintains existing programs to ensure continued performance and compliance with current requirements and standards. Qualifications Bachelor' s degree in technical field plus 8 to 10 years of directly related experience with a software development background. Some project management experience required. Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred. software development background.In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 15 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey dataREQUIRED:Java and/or Python skills required (0 - 3 years out of school experience preferred).Linux and VMWare experience required.Standard development tools (Subversion, Git, Eclipse, TRAC etc.) experience required.Must exhibit professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.Willingness to learn and ability to quickly adapt to new concepts, software and environments.Experience working at a customer site, with experience supporting DoD customers highly desired.Secret level or better required. Must be able to obtain TS/SCI.DESIRED:Experience developing test scripts in a continuous build environment (such as Jenkins or JAZZ) highly desirable.Configuration management experience desired.M&S interoperability experience a (HLA, DIS, etc.) experience desirable.
