Collaborate with subject matter experts in those units to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the application. Participate in most or all of the steps in the software development life cycle to create and modify the software.KEY JOB FUNCTIONSCollaborate with managers or practitioners in the business unit to determine systems requirements and functionalities needed in new or revised application. Develop detailed specifications of application and document in a form that it can be used for coding application. Perform or review coding done to render specifications into application functionalities, screens, or outputs. Develop test plan and/or test application in development status or debug application in production mode. Document or review documentation of steps in specification development, coding, testing and user acceptance for future reference and for internal control purposes. May lead a small project or a segment of a larger project. May mentor or provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree or equivalent requiredMINIMUM EXPERIENCE2 years of related experienceSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSDemonstrable experience in large-scale System Integration involving multiple applications; System Integration experience should include knowledge of setting up applications from scratch by providing requirements to infrastructure teams and other shared services parties such as database teams, etc. to build the applicationsKnowledge of various data transfer protocols to enable connectivity between applications. Ability to work closely with development teams to resolve application issues and also suggest ideas for process improvement. Additionally, this role requires experience in the following areas: Development experience in Java, Business Objects, UNIX shell scripting, JavaScript, and OracleStrong knowledge of UNIX systems and familiarity with multi-tiered applications hosted on UNIX systemsTroubleshooting application integration points and issues during handshakeHands-on experience with TIBCO Business Works, TIBCO EMS, Web Services, and XML technologies (XSLT, XPATH, XQUERY)Troubleshooting issues related to TIBCO EMS Queues and TopicsTroubleshooting issues with Informatica Mappings and workflows as well as Ab Initio graphsTroubleshooting issues with Web Services and XML GatewayMonitoring batch jobs using AutoSys GUI and command lineInteracting with Enterprise Monitoring center for job starts and restartsAutomating business processes EMPLOYMENT As a condition of employment with Fannie Mae, any successful job applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and to successfully complete a background investigation, which may also include a credit check for positions in some areas of our business.
