Under general direction, develop advanced protocol processing and processing algorithms for unique applications. We provide our employees with competitive compensation packages and a full range of benefits, including vacation, medical, dental, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, tuition assistance, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Roles and Responsibilities:Apply and perform systems analysis, modeling and simulation of processing systems and demonstrate systems via simulated and/or real data inputPerform functional analysis, performance analysis and synthesis of protocol implementations (including physical transmission convergence and higher layer) for Radio and Core Access TechnologiesConceptualize, define, design and prototype systems engineering solutionsTravel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessaryUnderstand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policiesProactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and proceduresPerform other duties as requiredObtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the positionQualificationsBasic Qualifications:To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 2-4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education and experience.Working knowledge of radio access, core network, interface protocol and the call flows over these interfacesExperience in 3GPP/IEEE/ANSI/ITU/ETSI Wireless and Trunked mobile radio protocols and survey toolsDemonstrated ability to rapidly prototype protocols and applicationsDemonstrated knowledge of object oriented architecture, programming and programming methodsKnowledge of HOL such as C, C++ and associated development frameworksExperience with LinuxDemonstrated ability to leverage open source programs, rapid integration methods, web interfaces and services implementation, XML implementation methodsObject oriented architecture, programming and programming methods requiredDemonstrated experience or knowledge of software methods - from those that are highly formal requiring extensive documentation and reviews to 'extreme' programming techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as requiredMust be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (US citizenship is a prerequisite) For a listing of all LGS Innovations open positions, please visit our website at Innovations is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
