You will provide hands-on deployment, management, and operational sustainment of managed services within the AWS platform.You will work with others to:Deploy, manage, and operate scalable / highly available / fault tolerant systems on AWSMigrate existing on-premise applications and services to AWSImplement and control the flow of data to and from AWSSelect the appropriate AWS service based on compute; data; or security requirementsIdentify appropriate use of AWS operational best practicesEstimate AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms One or more years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applicationsExperience provisioning; operating; and maintaining systems running on AWSAbility to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWSCapabilities to provide AWS operations and deploymentExcellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to ever changing problems.Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment consisting of colleagues, project sponsors, government contractors, and other government personnel.Knowledge of fundamental IP-based networking principlesKnowledge of Internet Technologies that comprise the OSI Stack Model such as HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, etc.Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux Understanding of relational database design technologies such as SQL and mySQL.Experience with Amazon Web Services EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, Route53, S3DevOps tooling such as Chef and JenkinsExperience with supporting mission critical software BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. ABET accredited institutions and programs preferred.U.S. Citizenship required in order to comply with law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
