Technical Account Manager - Pre-Sales - Mid-Atlantic
The Technical Account Manager is responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process with direct and channel customers. The TAM must be able to articulate the company's technology and products to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical and business use cases of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.Ideal Candidate will reside in the Washington, DC market or North Carolina market.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop potential new business opportunitiesConvey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teamsRespond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPsRespond to customer questions on technical and business related issuesDeliver high-level and detailed sales presentationsResponsible for attending conferences, seminars, etc QualificationsIdeal candidate must be self-motivated with strong knowledge in security space: Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance , Intrusion Detection Systems IDS, Intrusion Prevention Systems IPS, Network Scanners, PCI, Policy Compliance and Audit Tools, other enterprise security solutionsKnowledge in variety of Federal Regulatory Compliance issues a plus: HIPAA, GLBA, Sarbanes Oxley SOX, etcMust possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in response to emails, RFPs and when submitting reportsOrganized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches5-7 years relevant experienceBachelors degree or equivalent experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsAble to travel throughout sales territoryCandidate must be hungry, organized, and a self starter.
