This position is located in the Telecommunications Office, Administrative Services Division (ASD), Office of the Administrator (A). The incumbent serves as the Telecommunications Specialist to the Telecommunications Department Head. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support and assistance to the Telecommunications Department Supervisor on the National Gallery of Art's voice telecommunications systems.

Candidates must meet the Qualification Standards Handbook requirements for GS-0391-7. This requires at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level in the Federal service, installing or maintaining a variety of telecommunications equipment. OR five full years of education above the high school level in a relevant academic discipline. OR a combination of the above experience and education.

- Knowledge of telecommunications installation, modification, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Enterprise mobile device management programs, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of telecommunications help-desk, attendant console, and PBX system administration.
- Knowledge of general telecommunications administration and basic computer hardware and software.

Physical Requirements: The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough or uneven surfaces, access tight spaces, stoop down, crouching, stretching, reach overhead, and climb and descend ladders. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of weight, periodically.
