Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH) serves as the base support of operations for the Joint Force Headquarters-National Capitol Region and the U.S. District of Washington, Fort McNair, D.C. Fort Myer traces its origins to the Civil War and Fort McNair has been an Army post for more than 200 years. Henderson Hall provides barracks and support for Marines assigned to Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps as well as certain schools and agencies in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

 LOCATION: Fort Myer Business Operations and Community Recreation
This is a Nonappropriated Fund Regular Full Time (RFT) position that includes NAF Benefits. Incumbents will be scheduled to work 40 hours per administrative week. Incumbent will be required to work weekends and holidays. May be required to work before and after work. This position oversees the Fort Myer Officer's club Pool operations to include scheduling and supervising recreation assistants, cashiers and lifeguards; execute swimming lessons and manage pool operations. Primary Duty Location is the Fort Myer Officer's Club Pool and Fort Myer Fitness Center.  The Pool opens on Memorial Day; closes on Labor Day and the Fitness Center is open year around. The incumbent may be required to work during inclement weather, before and/or after scheduled work hours, Federal Holidays, special events and weekends, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, administering and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor recreational or competitive aquatic programs and facilities.

    Possession of the following certificates is a requirement:

    - Current lifeguard certification
    - Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
    - Current Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
    - Current Certification in Water Safety Instructor
    - O2 Administration (Administering Emergency Oxygen)

    5. Successfully complete all prescribed training.

    6. You will be required to show Social Security card upon appointment to a NAF position. 

    7. Early morning, evening and weekend shift work required.
