The Information Technology (IT) Modernisation (ITM) project will transform the way IT services are provided to users across the NATO enterprise, including the NATO Command Structure (NCS), the NATO Headquarters (NHQ), elements of the NATO Force Structure and NATO agencies. This will be achieved by modernizing, consolidating, and centralizing the infrastructure and service management, and by pooling and abstracting resources. In turn, this will allow an enterprise perspective to be taken, and services to be delivered according to standard and measureable service level agreements, offering a higher quality, more flexible, resilient, and secure set of services at significantly lower costs to the user community.

 

Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, maintenance and/or repair activities.

 

Exempt – This position is exempt under the DOL Administrative Exemption Test. Employees matched to this job should spend at least 80% of their time developing or executing management policies and/or business operations of substantial importance to the company or its customers.

 

Responsibilities

 

Candidate is responsible for the day to day maintenance of logistics records supporting the implementation of the NATO IT Modernization program:

  1. Inventory Assets (receipt, license compliance/patch coordination, maintenance, disposal/retirement)
  2. Receipt, track and report on all ITM hardware and software
  3. Maintain CMDB
  4. Develop asset management procedures
Additional Responsibilities

  1. Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
  2. Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
  3. Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  4. Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
  5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  6. May serve as technical team or task leader.
  7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  8. Participates in special projects as required.
 

Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline.

Qualifications Required 

  • 10-15 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting logistics operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant technology and equipment.
  • Specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
  • Ability to serve as a technical team or task leader.
 

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Reliability Cantered Maintenance
  • 5 years experience maintaining CMDB artifacts including IT warranties and software licensing data
  • Experience working in the NATO environment
