Job Overview: The PdM NSC is responsible for the production, fielding, life cycle support, sustainment, and enhancement/refresh of programs under his/her cognizance. The PdM is also responsible for establishing near and long-term strategic planning that ensures NSC assets maximize interoperability and mission effectiveness; implement timely, affordable technical improvements; and guard against premature obsolescence. The PdM is also responsible for providing material solutions for urgent warfighting requirements. The PdM staff (Lead Engineer, Lead Logistician and Financial Manager) directly support the PdM, Deputy PdM, and program teams and coordinate with the PM Marine Corps Command, Control, Communications (MC3) Milestone Assessment Team (MAT)/Assistant Program Managers. The PdM NSC program teams lead the Marine Corps efforts in the research and development, acquisition and sustainment of tactical networking and switching equipment; wireless broadband; and satellite ground communication systems. The PdM NSC organization includes two (2) program teams: Tactical Networks (TACNET) and Satellite Communications (SATCOM). We are actively seeking to fill a vacancy for a Technical Analyst on the SATCOM Team. Job Description: Execute systems engineering related tasks in support of the SATCOM portfolio of programs.Develop and staff DoD 5000 / Defense Acquisition System documentation and participate in procurement-related activities that will assist government clients in getting programs of record through the acquisitions phases and milestones - with the end state being capable and sustainable SATCOM equipment (eg System Specifications, Systems Engineering Plans, Test and Evaluation Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, Performance Work Statements, Information Support Plans, etc.).Assess system technical issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving systems engineering/program planning, control, and execution. Prepare and assist in presenting formal briefings. Assist in facilitating meetings and in capturing minutes and action items. Work closely with other competency members of the Integrated Product Team.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Job Requirements: Have Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Engineering Level 1 equivalency. At a minimum, the following DAU courses must be completed: ENG 101 Fundamentals of Systems Engineering; ACQ 101 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management; Experience: 2-5 years Education: BS Excellent Writing skills Above average facility with MS Office programs Desired Skills: Experience: 5-10 years in related work Have DAWIA Engineering Level 2 equivalency and/or completed SYS 201/202 Intermediate Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering and/or ENG 202 Applied Systems Engineering in Defense Acquisition Advanced computer skills with MS Office programs Prior working knowledge of Marine Corps and Marine Corps systems engineering/program management Worked with SATCOM programs, preferably USMC
