The Authority is seeking a highly motivated Senior Billing Agent.I. SUMMARY: Responsible for performing a variety of functions within the Revenue Assurance Branch. Assists Supervisors in maintaining orderly flow of day-to-day activities within the Branch including oversight of staff,The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbent(s) in this job. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties in this description and incumbent(s) may be required to perform work-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description. This job description is not a "contract" between the employee and the Authority. The job duties and essential functions may be changed at the discretion of the CEO/General Manager. II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: . Plans and coordinates activities of employees in the Revenue Assurance Branch. . Monitors telephone answering by employees and advises and corrects any improper customer service practices or information being provided to customers. . Assists Customer Care Associates with customer inquiries and resolving customer issues. . Responds to complex and unique customer issues and refers sensitive issues to Supervisor. . Maintains billing files on billing cycles and prepares reports on billing cycles. . Provides positive input to the ongoing development and training of employees. . Conducts account analysis and takes appropriate action for resolution. . Provides support in the review of and ensures accuracy of correspondence and adjustments prepared. . Renders assistance in any area in the Revenue Assurance Branch that needs assistance. . Prepares various reports and spreadsheets, utilizing applicable software programs (ie Excel and Word). . May be required to act as Branch Supervisor. . Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the Manager, Customer Service. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Key Working Relationships: Interacts with co-workers throughout the department and the Authority and with the general public. III. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided. . High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and six (6) years of related progressive experience in rate structures and complex billing transactions with experience in back-office post audit billing activities, large commercial customer account management. . Excellent analytical skills. . Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills. . Utilizes a personal computer and maintains a working knowledge of applicable software programs (ie word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.). . Ability to handle a fast paced environment. IV.
