The firm is consistently ranked among the country's top engineering firms by Engineering News-Record; it is currently #16 among the Top 50 in Transportation firms.Gannett Fleming's Fairfax office is looking for an experienced Water Resources - Senior Project Manager with a strong civil background, specifically in stormwater management to support planning, design, and construction management activities for a variety of projects. Technical areas of oversight and management will also include, civil/site and water resources-related design projects including storm water management, storm drain, TMDL stormwater retrofits and designs, Low Impact Development, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, dam studies, stream restoration, county and state permitting, and construction phase services. In addition to technical leadership, the successful candidate will lead business development and marketing efforts at the local, county and state level with clients such as VDOT and Fairfax County among others. Other key areas of responsibility include project management, client relationship management, and oversight of the work of staff and sub-consultants Job Requirements BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources Engineering or related field of practice is required. Master's Degree is a plus.Professional Engineer license in VA is required with the ability to obtain PE in MD and DC with reciprocity.An ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience plus in civil site design, with direct involvement in stormwater management design, hydrologic modeling, permitting and BMP retrofits.Direct experience completing projects with public sector/municipal agencies in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area is required.Experience in watershed water quality assessments, MS4 permitting and/or program development a plus.Strong interpersonal skills; good public speaking ability; strong project financial management skills; knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency are all required competencies.Experience in providing technical and project leadership to staff-level or junior engineers.Experience or desire to market their skills and build relationships with local clients.Gannett Fleming is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer, including veterans and disability status.NO AGENCIES PLEASE: Unsolicited resumes from third party agencies will not be accepted.Gannett Fleming Inc. will not sponsor an employment visa (eg, H-1B visa), including any visa renewal during employment, for any candidate for this position.
