Maximo Deployment Support Specialist

Key Role:

Support asset and work order management system modernization. Identify software and business requirements and solutions, support IT-based solution deployments, and support related operational improvement activities. Research healthcare technology management (HTM) or biomedical engineering best practices for VA Medical Center (VAMC) operations and document them in written format, including guidance documents. Work with clients and project team Maximo experts to make recommendations for software configurations, business processes, and supporting artifacts, including configuration designs and job aids. Support site readiness activities for sites preparing to receive the SOARD Maximo solution, including supporting site readiness meetings, tracking and supporting sites' progress completing readiness tasks, identifying post-deployment training needs, and acting as a liaison between the HTM community and the SOARD project team. Support sustainment efforts by working with end user community representatives to support and improve software adoption, identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPI), reporting KPI metrics and trends to HTM leadership, and identifying and implementing solutions to enact improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience in the biomedical engineering industry

-Experience with deploying asset and work order management software

-Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and using SharePoint

-Ability to establish and maintain productive client relationships

-Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships in a multi-disciplinary, geographically diverse and matrixed team setting

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and innovation in a dynamic client environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with working on Veterans Affairs programs as a consultant or other experience with federal government consulting or working with federal government as a substitute

-Experience with the software development lifecycle, computer networks, and software systems preferred

-Experience with working on a project or within an organization deploying a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product

-Experience with working in or with a Medical Center, VA or otherwise, in biomedical engineering

-Knowledge of Maximo or other asset management software products

-Possession of excellent research or data gathering, analytical, and problem solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
