Evaluate and verify that F/A-18 Software Development products and software activities adhere to established standards and processes as identified in the F/A-18 System Engineering Technical Review Tailored (SETR-T), Software Development Plan (SDP), Software Verification Plan (SVP), Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP), Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP), and the software Process Manual.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform software product and process evaluations using standards and checklists to verify that requirements, software deliverables, phase activities, phase milestones, and software releases are compliant with existing processes i.e. Products are being developed following the defined processes and activities are being executed according to the defined process.

Report non-compliance issues to the Software Development Team Lead (or their designee).

Assist Process Improvement Lead in maintaining process documentation and managing process improvement initiatives.

Attend Process Support Group meetings.

Track and implement Process Improvement Proposals (PIPs), ensuring compliance with F/A-18 processes.

Map software development artifacts to CMMI.


Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant experience.

Have experience with Software Quality Assurance, Software Development Lifecycle process, CMMI, and Microsoft Office tools.

Must have the ability to work independently within a team environment.

Effective communication skills - oral and written, organized, self-motivated and detail oriented.

Desired Skills:

Experience with objected-oriented, structured software development methodologies; DOD-STD-2167A, DOD-STD-498, and MIL-STD-1553B.

Experience with DO-178B.
